A Male Mallard at Blackford Pond. Males are distinctly recognised by their green coloured head.

Tufted Duck. These birds have distinct orange eyes, black and white plumage, and a tuft on the back of their heads, hence the name.

Canada Goose. A brown bird with a distinct black neck and head, with a white patch on the head.

Female Mallard. Distinctly less colourful than the male and more brown in colour, however, with more pattern in the plumage.

Pink-footed goose. A mainly brown bird, but largely identifiable by its pink feet, hence the name.
